PP_23 That Helen Cooke (23) was the mother of Myra Frost (11)
Myra Frost daughter of Henry James Frost and Helen formerly Cooke was born on 19 November 1851 in Enfield. PP_11
Henry James Frost and Helen had 5 children between 1851 and 1859, including Myra Greaves in 1851. Birth
Henry James Frost and Helen Cooke married in 1850 in Manchester, both of 'full' age. His father is given as Thomas Frost, a spinner, and hers as John Cooke, an appariser. Marriage
The 1851 census lists Henry Frost, aged 26, a railway clerk born (c. 1820) in Manchester and his wife Helen, aged 22, born (c. 1828) in Cheltenham, living in Nags Head Lane in Enfield. 1851 Census
Helen Frost died aged 32 on 15 March 1860 in Edmonton, Middlesex. Death
The 1841 census in Cheltenham lists Helen Cooke, aged 12, born (c. 1828) in Cheltenham, living with her father John Cooke aged 45, an auctioneer, her mother Sarah, 43, and sisters Sarah 20, Mary 15, Lois 15, and Lydia 7. 1841 Census
Ellen daughter of John Cooke, an auctioneer, and Sarah his wife was baptised in Cheltenham on 24 September 1828. Birth
My descent from Helen Cooke is confirmed by her father's DNA matches - she having no sibling who had children, so also no descendants with whom to have DNA matches. DNA
So the mother of Myra Frost (11),
Helen Cooke (23), born in 1828 in Cheltenham,
married to Henry James Frost (22) in 1850 in Manchester, PP_22
died in 1860 in Enfield, was the daughter of
John Cooke (46), and PP_46
Sarah Stayt (47). PP_47

PP_46 That John Cooke (46) was the father of Helen Cooke (23)
Ellen daughter of John Cooke, an auctioneer, and Sarah his wife was baptised in Cheltenham on 24 September 1828. PP_23
The 1841 census in Cheltenham lists John Cooke aged 45, an auctioneer, his wife Sarah, 43, and daughters Sarah 20, Mary 15, Lois 15, Helen 12, and Lydia 7. 1841 Census
The 1851 census in Cheltenham lists John Cooke aged 56, an auctioneer (staying overnight in a hotel), his wife Sarah, 55, born in Upton, Oxfordshire, and daughters Sarah Stayte 30, Lois 25, and Lydia 17, and a son John Turner Cooke 19, a silk warehouseman. 1851 Census
John Cooke of Cheltenham and Sarah Stayt of Bledington married in Bledington on 22 January 1816. Marriage
The 1861 census in Cheltenham lists John Cooke aged 69, an auctioneer, born in St. Johns, Worcester, his wife Sarah, 65, born in Upton, Oxfordshire, and daughters Sarah S. 40, Lois 35, and Lydia 26, all born in Cheltenham. 1861 Census
Sarah Cooke, wife of John Cooke, auctioneer, died aged 71 on 8 November 1866 in Cheltenham. Death
The 1871 census in Cheltenham lists John Cooke aged 79, a retired auctioneer, born in St. Johns, Worcester, and daughters Sarah Stayt 50, Lois 44, and Lydia 37, all born in Cheltenham. 1871 Census
Mr. John Cooke died aged 80 on 26 August 1871 (born c. 1791)in Cheltenham. Death
The birth of John the son of Isaac Cooke and Lois his wife on 5 September 1791 was recorded in a Quaker ceremony in Worcester. Birth
My descent from John Cooke is confirmed by at least 3 DNA matches averaging about 13cM with descendants of his brother Isaac Cooke, and at least 3 matches averaging about 13cm of all descendants of John with all descendants of Isaac. DNA
So the father of Helen Cooke (23),
John Cooke (46), born in 1791 in Worcester,
married to Sarah Stayt (47) in 1816 in Bledington, PP_47
died in 1871 in Cheltenham, was the son of
Isaac Cooke (92), and PP_92
Lois Wood (93). PP_93

PP_92 That Isaac Cooke (92) was the father of John Cooke (46)
The birth of John the son of Isaac Cooke and Lois his wife on 5 September 1791 was recorded in a Quaker ceremony in St. Martin Worcester. PP_46
In 1812 Isaac Cooke handed over his trade in China and Glass in Cheltenham  to his son John Cooke. Notice
Lois Cooke, wife of Isaac Cooke, died on 7 November 1821 in Cheltenham aged 60 (born c. 1761). Death
Isaac Cooke (not a member of the Quakers), died on 16 January 1825 in Cheltenham aged 63 (born c. 1762). Death
Isaac Cooke of Worcester, glover, married Lois Wood of Worcester on 29 December 1784 in a Quaker ceremony. This records that Isaac Cooke was the son of Samuel Cooke, a cordwainer, and Ann his wife, and that Lois Wood was the daughter of John Wood of Maidstone, Kent, papermaker, and Mary his wife. Marriage
As John Cooke was baptized in St. Martin Worcester, as was his younger sister Lydia somewhat later, and his parents Isaac and Lois had 8 children baptized in Worcester between 1785 and 1799, Birth
and Isaac Cooke died in 1825 aged 63 (born c. 1762), Death
the father of Isaac is certainly the son of Samuel and Ann in the same place in 1862. Birth
In fact, Isaac was one of 8 children born there to this couple between 1758 and 1773, so the marriage of the parents must be the one between Samuel Cooke of St. Martin Worcester and Ann Davies of While Ladies Aston in that place in 1757, Marriage
especially as two of the relatives listed in the marriage in 1784, Elizabeth and Ann Dracott, are certainly the youngest daughters of Ann Davies' elder sister Hannah and her husband Richard Draycott! Davies Tree
So the father of John Cooke (46),
Isaac Cooke (92), born in 1762 in Worcester,
married to Lois Wood (93) in 1784 in Worcester, PP_93
died in 1825 in Cheltenham, was the son of
Samuel Cooke (184), and PP_184
Ann Davies (185).

PP_184 That Samuel Cooke (184) was the father of Isaac Cooke (92)
